UEFA Champions League football is back: All you need to know about Round of 16 fixtures

The highest profile of European football returns with top sides battling with their all in as the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 fixtures get underway from Wednesday, February 14, 2024.

After a long gap after the end of the group stages, the top two teams from all eight groups will now walk into the knockout stages of UCL 2023-2024, in hopes of achieving the ultimate European glory.

Apart from the regulars in this round like Spanish giants Real Madrid and defending champions Manchester City, the usual underdogs of the competition, like Copenhagen, Real Sociedad and PSV will also be looking to make the most out of their well-earned entry into the last 16.

Along with the knockout stages comes enhanced intensity into the already exciting tournament, as teams will now be playing each match as a successive home-leg and away-leg fixture up till the Final in Wembley. While some aim to add to their European glories, others will be looking to cause the giants their ultimate upset.

UEFA Champions League: All Round Of 16 fixtures

Football fans across the globe will eagerly look forward to the exciting opening day fixtures of RB Leipzig against Real Madrid and Copenhagen against Manchester City. The Round 16 matches of the current 2023-24 Champions League season will end on March 13th with the second leg match between Atlético Madrid and Inter Milan.

Surprising many, the former Barcelona and current PSV striker Luuk de Jong was the highest goalscorer during the group stages of the competition. With his clinical finishing skills, the Dutchman will be one to keep an eye on during his side’s knockout fixture against German giants Borussia Dortmund.

PSV’s 20-year-old prolific winger Johan Bakayoko has been one of the most promising names in the current edition of UCL. The youngster has been a pivotal force behind PSV’s recent successes, which was evident from his five assists during his side’s group stage fixtures.
